Let's play a guessing game. Anyone know what this shelf is for? I'll come clean, someone threw it away where we live and I ganked it from the garbage. I couldn't help myself. It's solid wood no scratches, and who can't use more shelf space for closet, kitchen bedroom etc. One problem. Can't figure out what it's for. The shelves are not level the front rack is lower then the back. I'm guesing movies? Any theories?

In honor of Valentines Day approaching I'll share my latest find. Made me giggle.
Oh how I love chocolate.
Chocolate doesn't talk back... although it does leave it's mark on your hips. Dang that "Balance in the universe" stuff.

Oh how I would love for this to be my next Quilting Project, or to just own the fabric in this quilt. Isn't it beautiful? It would look so lovely sitting on my shelf.
Alas, it will have to wait, I have another project in the works, will post pics soon.

Computer has been on the outs, but here is a little taste of what my house looked like for Christmas.
I made this for my very first Christmas being married. Holiday shopping this year reminded me why I'm not a professional wreath maker, but it will do :)

I'm totally drooling over Miley Cyrus' room and "dressing room" found in June's In Style Magazine. Nice job of placing black and brown design in the same room.

She seems to have a cute spunky personality.

Before... Disclaimer: I did not have any hand in putting this ugly thing in the place to begin with :)
After... It's hard to capture the coolness of it with my lack of photography skills, but it looks "Smashing!" with the table.
Above this table...

I have been on the hunt for a new throw pillow, as you can see my pillows on my couch are solid. I wanted to bring a little more texture and design into the room with a print. Trouble is, I can NEVER find throw pillows with both sage and purple in them. Here is the lastest find from Pier 1. Found it while "Hook Mirror Shopping" Hubby said, "um... It looks Brown." :)
What do you think?
Cosmo (puppy) won't leave it alone!
The vines are sage green, tops of the flowers purple, and the background chocolate.

WANTED: "Entry mirror with hooks". Have you seen any good ones that are reasonably priced? Do share!! I need it for our entry. I want a mirror and hooks, and it would be even better if it had slots on below the mirror for bills etc, with hooks on the outside of the slots, but doesn't have to. Make sense? I can't even find a picture of what I'm talking about, but I've seen them in peoples homes. Here are some basics without the slots. It would be great to hang the dog leash and keys on (I have a habit of losing my keys).
This one's from Target. In real life its super small (too small) but does look sharp)
I like the look of this but it's $140. Looking for something cheaper.
I have looked at Target, Home Goods, Ross, Kohls, JCPenney's, Bed Bath and Beyond, Pottery Barn, and all over the internet. Honestly these are the only ones I found. If you have insider knowledge on where to find them, let me know!!

While choosing out paint, I'd like to find a color for the master bedroom. The logical choice is yellow to accent the bedspread, but I'm not a pastel kind of girl, and Bright yellow would be too much. I'm not a yellow person in general, I don't own a single peice of yellow clothing. But if you all think Yellow would be the logical choice, then I'll look into the yellow department. I threw in the red pillows to pull out color from the painting.
This is my Bedroom, it will be set up similar in the new place.
This is the professional Picture of my bedset (better lighting for sure). Even though I'm not a yellow person, I LOVE this for some reason. Especially the twiggy pattern.
This painting hangs above the bed. the yellows and tans match the bedding perfectly.
One of my all time favorite paintings!
by Jack Vetriano called "The Singing Butler"
(check out "waltzers" and "mad dogs"-my other two favs of his.)
Pale yellow for the Accent wall?

More on the redecor of the "new place". I'm picking out colors of paint for the living room. I need opinions!
The dynamics:
I have a couch and ottomon to match this chair. The throw pillows are the other colors in the room. The curtains are the purple color.
This is a flower arrangement I made to bring together the colors in the living room. I would like to use this piece in the living room as well.
Using Behr.com I put together Paint swatches. (By the way, they have the COOLEST system for putting colors together for a room on their website. You can even download your own pictures of the rooms of your house and try paint colors on the"walls".)
Breaking down the colors:
Sagey Green: Couch Chair and Ottomon (already have)
Deep Purple: Curtains and Throw pillows, Flower arrangement (already have)
Greyish white color: Throw pillows, Flower arrangement (already have)
Greyish Tan: Possible wall color?
Lighter Purple: Possible Wall color?
Any other Color suggestions? Remember. The couch will be right against the color on the wall. The wrong shade of brown blends makes the couch blend into the wall. I Can change the Purple curtain aspect, but am kind of stuck with the Sage couches. I'm trying to use things I already have where possible. I'm finding Purple is a hard palette to work with. What I don't want to do is leave the walls white or cream. I want something different. Ideas are totally welcome!!
