Bowling &Softball

I went bowling with the Youth last night. You know what this is? Evidence. That ME, RD (aka RayDogg in bowling world) bowled a 118. 118? Big Deal you say? It is for this florida chicky. I even took a bowling class in college and got worse.

Then I was off to watch husband play his tournamont game. It was a grueling battle against the hispanics for 2nd place in the league. He's a great third baseman, diving, jumping, twisting and throwing all in one fluid movement to catch the ball and throw someone out. Do not be decieved by his short thin stature. He's a beast at softball. Can't wait till next season! That's how we met, intramural softball at BYUI.
(crappy pic, dark outside)

The embarassing wife picture- (in front of all the guys) "I need a picture of you in your uniform!"
... what a good sport

p.s.- after a nail biting game, they won! Check out the trophy. Good job boys!

David Cook

This is who I was rooting for, since the top 10 or so. All around talent, his songs don't sound the same every week. The man can sing anything and do wonders with songs. Other favs- Always be my baby, Billie Jean, Music of the Night.

My favorite: All I Really Need Is You

Wicked!

If you don't know what it is about, it is about the life of the "Wicked Witch of the West" from The Wizard of Oz. The story of her life, how she came to be called the wicked witch. Her and Glinda were friends, she was a good person, there are some other great twists, definitely some "Ah hah!" moments, like how the tin man and scarecrow came to be, where she got her cool Witchy hat, etc.

I LOVED this play!! The best I've been to so far. A 2 1/2 hour play has been known to lull me to sleep. Not this one! I loved the story line, the music, the set was outstanding, and the costumes, all of it! The lead singer, Carmen Cusack gave me chills on several of her numbers. I loved the songs "For Good", "I'm not that girl", pretty much anything that "Elphaba" sang.
KC was good enough to invite me to go with (she can do killer impressions of Glinda :)). An experience of a life time for sure, it's sooo hard to get tickets. Thanks for the invite KC! My rating? 5 stars of course, go see it if you can.

Clever Ads

I wish that I had time to do multiple degrees, and do all the things that intrest me. A degree I would LOVE to have is graphic design. I'm always so impressed with the creativity expressed in many graphic design projects. I thought the following were clever~

I stumbled upon this cute blog that features a star named "Bean". Bean's owner is Nora Courtney Ashkar. The story is so adorable you just want to read more and more, and the illustration makes you go "Ahhhhhh!" VERY clever idea! Thanks for sharing Nora! I can't wait for a book to come out! Note: Bean is has a copyright, NO STEALING BEAN, or you'll owe lots of money!

Joel Dewberry = Fabric Master

Calling all quilters, home decorators, and anyone with good taste!
Beware: Gorgeous fabric.

Joel is a fabric designer with eclectic modern taste.
I've met Joel's mother, Donna Dewberry a craft wonder herself, who is very down to earth. I'd love to meet Joel and pick his brain about his gorgeous fabrics. This is the kind of fabric that I get myself in trouble with (great design, and would look good in any project). I love it so much I buy it even if there isn't a specific project in mind. To see his designs go here. His fabric is 100% cotton.

Joel has a new line coming out in May called Ginseng Collection. OOOOO I'm excited!

Julian Beever

Julian Beever is an amazing English artist. Oh how I'd love to see his artwork in person. He is best known for his pavement art. They are so real it's deceiving. At the bottom of the stairs this is a flat surface. Crazy huh?!

This one's probably the coolest in my opinion. The hose, water, everything... drawings!

Looks like he just poked the water.
