Blessing Day

This cute little bug was blessed at church on March 11, 2012.

Getting Ready...
Getting our hands on a great outfit was difficult but we were happy with the result. We found it at a ethnic store. This cute thing was from Columbia, and is one of a kind, the store only carries one of a kind originals.

The blanket is from the same place and is from Peru. Step Mom Becky went on the hunt with me and got them as a gift for Griffin. Thanks Becky!
Proud parents after church
Grandma and Grandpa Jones flew in and were there for his special day.
Two of the gentlemen at church who we asked to participate.
All of the Florida Lowe's came- We appreciate all the support!

Uncle Bryan and Aunt Brittany

B & B got Griff some cute cupcakes to celebrate the special day

Had to throw another picture of our family in there.

Dad and Becky's Visit

Uncle Cory came to visit while he is at school in Tampa. We played "The Game" alot while eating lots of good food.

Master Chef Dad provided great food as usual!

Grandma Becky helped out feeding Griff and got some good grandma time in!

We went on a walk on the nature trail that goes past our neighborhood. Dad wore the sling to carry Griff.

Griffin

Meet the newest member of our family!
Pics taken by Renee Garrett when he was 3 days old.  Renee takes pics of newborns as a hobby and I was thrilled when she agreed to take pics of our little man- we think they turned out GREAT!

Aunt Handi Andi Crocheted the "Hungry Caterpillar" outfit, the diaper cover, and all hats seen in photos. Isn't she amazing?

Mr. G Man at 9 days old below. The photographer Renee had so much fun taking pictures of this handsome little man she came back to take some more- we were thrilled! There were lots more I may post at a later time.

CHD Awareness Week!

CHD Awareness Week
February 7th-14th

I have an adorable niece named Brynley who has been affected by a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD).  Please read her story below as written by her mom (my rockstar sister who is one of the strongest people I know).
and... Please wear red this week to bring awareness to CHD!

Our Miracle:

Our HEART journey started with this sweet baby girl born with a BROKEN HEART....

and today that sweet baby girl is a fun, vivacious, 6 1/2 year old who unless you catch a glimpse of her "Special Heart Zipper" you would never guess that she had to fight for LIFE!
She won that fight!

Brynley's open heart surgery in May 2006 repaired two large Atrial Spetal Defects (ASD) and repaired a cleft in her mitral valve. It was a miracle that they found the defects in her tiny little heart and it was by Divine guidance that her surgeon was able to repair them. Now 6 years old, we give thanks that our sweet baby girl was given the opportunity to grow and thrive.
Here’s to the opportunities that the future holds; to the passion and knowledge of medical professionals, to more advanced technology and care, and to those of us that can spread the message about heart defects, bring more funding, more research and better outcomes for kids born with CHD.
And to our Family and friends that carried us through the roughest parts of this journey....
THANK YOU!

(Heart Check 2011)
In honor of CHD awareness and "Princess B"
Please wear RED February 7th-14th

The Big Official Baby Shower

How gorgeous is the decor for the baby shower?!

These are the 2 fabulous ladies who threw the shower. Jenny and Kacey. I could go on and on about how fabulous, talented and thoughtful they are.  I like to call them Martha and Martha- both have amazing taste and I can't thank them enough for the gorgeous shower and making me feel like a million bucks! Thanks you two- You're the best!
Some of the Decor- Kacey gave me alot of it which you will see in the Nursery pictures in a future post.

I've known Miss Kacey for almost 5 years now- we met at church when we first moved to Florida- I was thrilled when she asked if she could throw a shower for me. I'm a lucky girl!
Pictures of Kev and I as babies/kids were displayed as part of the decor.
There was a bib table set up where guests could make baby Lowe bibs.
Sis in law Brittany, Neice Marin, Grandma, Mother in law Margaret- So supportive!
Friends from church.
We had a sit down brunch- lots of mingling and fun!
