Indifference

Not too shabby for my little digital camera :)

Mother Earth in All Her Glory

Breathtaking. I was driving by this house, and had a jaw dropping moment. Maybe I don't get out enough, but I've never seen a tree like this before. There were no leaves, only thick clumps of blossoms, in a bright neon yellow color. Anyone know what kind of tree this is? I need one, so I don't have to drive around photographing other people's trees :)

It's Bean!

"Come get your daily protein with Bean"

I stumbled upon this cute blog that features a star named "Bean". Bean's owner is Nora Courtney Ashkar. The story is so adorable you just want to read more and more, and the illustration makes you go "Ahhhhhh!" VERY clever idea! Thanks for sharing Nora! I can't wait for a book to come out! Note: Bean is has a copyright, NO STEALING BEAN, or you'll owe lots of money!

Karaoke= Crazy + Freedom

I never thought I'd be the one saying I go to Karaoke night. But there it is. I do. Every once in awhile. I work with all women, most of which are single. So when we do fun girls nights we go to a mexican restaurant that has Tuesday night Karaoke. So that's where I could be found last Tuesday night. I swore I would never punish the general public by singing where anyone could hear me, but I somehow have found myself up there singing "Wide Open Spaces" and the classic "Love Shack" among others with the girls. And now I understand why people humiliate themselves singing karoake. Because everyone else understands and cheers you on (most have had a few drinks) telling you that you were wonderful (even when you're not). It is very liberating. This particular place called "La Fiesta" has their very own hard core Elvis impersonator, that dresses the part and sings Elvis whenever it's his turn, and several old ladies that are making their debut and living their dream before time runs out. It's a nice family place with great food and loads of fun. I've had some of my best laughs with the girls there! I don't have any pics, maybe the next time we brave the Karaoke scene.

Joel Dewberry = Fabric Master

Calling all quilters, home decorators, and anyone with good taste!
Beware: Gorgeous fabric.

Joel is a fabric designer with eclectic modern taste.
I've met Joel's mother, Donna Dewberry a craft wonder herself, who is very down to earth. I'd love to meet Joel and pick his brain about his gorgeous fabrics. This is the kind of fabric that I get myself in trouble with (great design, and would look good in any project). I love it so much I buy it even if there isn't a specific project in mind. To see his designs go here. His fabric is 100% cotton.

Joel has a new line coming out in May called Ginseng Collection. OOOOO I'm excited!

My "other" wedding cake

I have fallen in love with this wedding cake from Martha. If I did it all again, I think this is what I'd do, but instead of statues I'd use mongogram letters of our innitials for a cake topper. Simple and Lovely. I Love...

The Price Was Right here in Florida

Kenna and Daddy, going to see "Pwincesses Castle!"
Some pics, from Sis Andi's (The Price Family)visit with her family. I miss them, loved having family here! We did: Disney, beach, air boat rides, Italian Ice, Crispers... Come back family, Come back! I got some cheeser photos, but dang it's hard getting little kids to look at the camera, let alone look AND smile! The Toy Story pics are from the hotel where they stayed at Disney, it was rad! I forgot to take my camera to the beach. sigh...

Oh I love this family!

Epcot

I had my first official trip to Epcot. Had to get a picture of the big ball. I didn't get to see everything, so I definitely need to go back, but VERY COOL! Loved visiting the countries, fireworks show was neat, and they had the BEST frozen lemonade!

I have become one of THOSE people...

So, I"m finding myself choking on my own words. The conversation went somewhat like this:
Hubby: "If we get a small dog, you're not going to dress it up are you?"
Me: "No Way! I think it's retarded when people dress up their dogs!" (in a disgusted voice)
Hubby: "Ok, good"

Fast Forward 7 months. I couldn't resist, It's a polo shirt with colar and everything! Unless you have a little dog and have seen them in the little shirts, you just dont understand. It was in the dollar bins at Target $2.50! Clarification: While I am willing to spend this small amount for a good laugh/cute picture, I'm not one to have a wardrobe for my dog, or spend more then about $3 on clothing.
Target has great deals for dogs in the $1 bins. They chew up and destroy most toys over time anyway, so I refuse to invest in expensive toys. For a dollar here and there you can get cute toys that your dog will have a blast with, and a cute t-shirt :)

Another one for the list

I am SOOOO making one of these from Purl Bee. I'm not much of an egg tree person, although they may it look rad. I would do a nice basket with several of these eggs in it. It would make a nice center peice. I'll have to add it to my " I wish I had time to sew, sewing list".

Pinch me for St. Patty's

Happy St. Patrick's Day! See any 4 leafers in there?

Pic Via Lilian101 on Webshots
Makes me miss home. Oh the memories of driving to downtown Chicago and seeing the green river for St. Patty's...

Love you I do

Hubby gave me beautiful flowers this weekend! He's great at stuff like that. I am just as excited about the container as I am the flowers! It's a Pitcher. Will look great somewhere long after the flowers are gone. It was a "you're doing a great job, with all that you are juggling right now" bouquet.

I LOVE this song. One of my faves, catchy tune. It's my theme song for hubby (see profile pic)
