Mama Mia!

I went with a girlfriend to see Mama Mia! the movie. It was a much needed break from my busy life. It was cheesy but in alot of parts the cheese was meant to be humurous. Very entertaining. I must say, I can't get the "Mama Mia! Here I go again! My My..." song line out of my head. I found myself tapping my feet and wanting to dance to a few songs, especially Dancing Queen! The "good movie" killer for me was Meryl Streep and Peirce Brosnan's attempt at singing. Bad. I'd give it a 2 1/2 star rating. I didn't walk out saying, "that was amazing", but left entertained and wanting to sing ABBA songs.

Introducing...Charlie and Batman

So if you want to see how the sleepover turned out... please view photos below.

Charlie Brown

Bruce Wayne aka BATMAN

Yep, I did it. I bought hamsters. I couldn't resist after I held them. I originally bought the white one 'Charlie Brown' cause he was so dang cute, but then my neice informed me that they are "social animals" so I went back to get Batman. Why not get another Charlie Brown specie you ask? He's a mean little devil. He bit both Kevan and I. HARD. Plus he's so hyper you can't even hardly hold him. Batman is super nice and loves being held.

Kev named them, I left them nameless for a good week and a half, so he took innitiative since we were calling them "mean little snot" and "nice little guy". Oh and Puppy's new goal in life is to get access to a hamster. He watches their cage on the shelf for hours hoping one will magically fall down.

The grand total:
2 Hamsters- Charlie Brown and Batman
1 turtle- Goucho
1 sucker fish to clean turtle's tank
1 super cute doggy- Cosmo
1 husband who still isn't quite sure how or why he ended up with so many animals in his house.

The big Sleepover

Tonight is the night of the big sleepover. My 10 year old neice is coming to spend the night and have a girls night with her coolest Aunt... Me. She is an animal lover. Everytime I go over she has caught tadpoles, set a snare for a rabbit, etc. It'll be fun. We are going to the dog park, giving my doggy a bath, catching bugs for my turtle, baking some goodies, and possibly renting a movie. I know to adults this may sound boring but she is more than excited, I'm the only adult in the family that loves animals almost as much as her. The highlight of the sleepover.... I'm taking her to buy hamsters. Hers died so I cleared it with the parents. I'm fighting for the coolest aunt ever, I had to pull out all stops. jk.

I am trying to talk kev into letting me get a hamster. He's on a strict no more pets policy. I think a fluffy teddybear hamster like the one below would be oh so cute. ahhhh.... He doesn't agree.
Let's just say our kids will know who the pushover is when they are wanting a pet :)

Twinklebee Creations- Most recent

The other designer for Twinklebee is my amazingly talented sister Holly. I've been so busy, she has been filling all our orders and shipping me blankets to keep the stock up. She's like the incredible hulk, but even better and prettier!

Greens and yellow- This one sold the first day I showed it. I wanted an excuse to keep this one, but couldn't find a good reason. sigh...

This one is an excellent unisex blanket. Crazy colors, and fun for a carrier or to lay down for the baby to play on.

Cutlings
I bought a rose bush last week, and these are the first cutlings. Aren't they beautiful!? I gave them to Kev's grandma. She is going to place them in her bedroom so she can wake up to them in the morning. We'll see how long this bush lives since I have issues keeping plants alive. You'd think it would be easy since the vegetation grows wild in Florida. Not so in the Lowe household.

4th of July
Kev and I walked up to the Red Hot & Boom on Thursday night. It's a big ordeal in this area. Around the Lake there is restaurants, and a covered stage for performances. There were lots of booths around the lake with food and such. Red Hot & Boom attracts big name bands sometimes. This year was Simple Plan . I loved it! Took me back to my college days when I was single Funny how music can do that.

On the 4th we went to a friends house. They had a barbeque and invited young couples and families. We were lucky enough to go out on the lake and watch the fireworks over the lake while in a fun boat. Definitely a cool 4th of July! Good eats, fun people. Below: A horrible picture of me, a great picture of Kev :)
